The Miami Heat faced the NBA champion Toronto Raptors and were victorious 121-110 in overtime on Tuesday night at Scotiabank Arena. The Heat, who have won three straight, are in the middle of a three-game road swing. The Raptors had their nine-game winning streak snapped.
Miami(15-5) was in front 32-23 after one quarter and were up 58-53 by halftime. Toronto(15-5) began the second half with seven straight points, however they still trailed the Heat 83-81 after three quarters. The contest was tied 108-108 at the end of the fourth and it went into overtime. Miami outscored the Raptors 13-2 in the extra session.
Jimmy Butler compiled a triple-double for the Heat with 22 points, 13 rebounds and 12 assists. Duncan Robinson dropped in 22 points while Bam Adebayo had 18 points and seven rebounds. Justise Winslow fell short of a double-double with 17 points and nine rebounds. Norman Powell put in a game-high 23 points for Toronto.
