The Miami Heat lost to the Los Angeles Clippers 122-117 on Friday night at American Airlines Arena. It was the third game of a five-game home stand for the Heat.
Miami(31-14) scooted out to a 30-22 advantage after one quarter and remained in front 65-63 at halftime. Los Angeles(32-14) went on an 18-2 run to end the third quarter and led 101-85. The Heat cut a 12-point deficit down to three points 118-115 with 34.2 seconds left in the fourth.
Jimmy Butler had a team-high 20 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists for Miami. Tyler Herro and Kelly Olynyk both contributed 19 points each. Bam Adebayo fell short of a double-double with 18 points and nine assists. Kawhi Leonard dropped in a game-high 33 points for the Clippers.
