The Miami Heat finished a three-game road trip with a 124-121 loss to the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden on Sunday. The Heat are in a stretch in which they are playing five of six games on the road.
Miami(27-12) held a 31-27 advantage after one quarter and stayed ahead 60-55 at halftime. New York(11-29) trailed 94-84 at the end of three quarters. The Knicks went on an 11-5 spurt at the beginning of the final quarter and took the lead 116-114 with 2:16 remaining. The Heat were outscored 40-27 in the fourth.
Jimmy Butler led the Heat with a team-high 25 points and 10 rebounds for a double-double. Kendrick Nunn dropped in 20 points while James Johnson added 19. Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro were able to pump in 15 points each. Julius Randle had a game-high 26 points for the Knicks and R.J. Barrett knocked down 23 points.
