Former local high school and college offensive tackle Ereck Flowers has signed a contract with the Miami Dolphins. It is a three-year deal worth $30 million.
Flowers played high school football in Dade County with the Dr. Krop Lightning through his junior year. He spent his senior season with the Miami Norland Vikings and along with running back Duke Johnson helped them capture the 2011 FHSAA Class 5A state championship over Crawfordville.
He attended the University of Miami and was with them for three seasons. Flowers was in 37 games with the Hurricanes.
Flowers was selected ninth overall in the 2015 NFL Draft by the New York Giants. He was with that club for four seasons and played in 51 games. Flowers finished the 2018 season with the Jacksonville Jaguars and started in all 16 games for the Washington Redskins in 2019.
