Former local radio personality Tony Marino will be remaining at 580 WDBO-AM in Orlando. He is staying as a news anchor and evening host. Cox Media Group flipped that radio station from a sports talk format to a news talk format on Wednesday.
Marino was a sports anchor at ESPN Orlando for several years. He has been an afternoon news anchor at WDBO-FM since May 2013 and later added duties as an evening host.
He had several roles in South Florida radio prior to his move to Orlando. Marino had a long reign and hosted a syndicated business radio show that was broadcast on Money Talk 740 WSBR-AM in Boca Raton. He once had a short stint and co-hosted a sports show with Michael Irvin on WNNR-AM in Jacksonville back in 2005.
Marino then worked as a traffic anchor at Metro Networks Miami and with Total Traffic Network Miami when both companies merged together. He landed at 560 WQAM-AM as a weekend sports anchor in 2012.
He was the morning host on WNNR-AM from 2002 until 2005. Marino also worked as a news reporter/news anchor at KRLD-AM in Dallas.
