Santiago Chavez Added By Marlins

     The Miami Marlins have added catcher Santiago Chavez to their 60-player pool for summer training. He will be eligible to play for the Marlins during the 2020 regular season. 

     Chavez has played in the minor leagues for eight seasons. He signed with Miami prior to the 2019 season. He spent time in the Oakland Athletics farm system from 2012 until 2018.
