Rays Blank Marlins

     The Tampa Bay Rays shut out the Miami Marlins 2-0 on Friday night at Marlins Park. The Rays continues to remain on top in the American League East while the Marlins are in playoff contention. 

     Tampa Bay(22-11) moved ahead in the eighth inning. Yandy Diaz singled up the middle to score Austin Meadows. 

     Miami(14-13) surrendered another run in the top of the ninth. Michael Perez knocked in Joey Wendle with a base hit into right field.
