Former University of Miami Hurricanes tight end Greg Olsen retired from the National Football League on Sunday. He will now work as an NFL game analyst on Fox Sports. Olsen played his only season with the Seattle Seahawks in 2020 as he compiled 24 catches for 239 yards and one touchdown in 11 games.
Olsen participated with the University of Miami for three years from 2004 to 2006. He made 87 pass receptions for 1,215 yards and six touchdowns in 33 contests.
He was taken by the Chicago Bears in the first round of the 2006 NFL Draft at 31st overall. He spent four seasons with the Bears followed by nine seasons with the Carolina Panthers. He helped the Panthers capture the 2015 NFC Championship. That club eventually lost to the Denver Broncos in Super Bowl 50.
