The Miami Marlins have agreed to sign pitcher Gio Gonzalez to a minor league deal. He will be invited to spring training and will make $1 million if he makes the Marlins big league roster.
Gonzalez, a Hialeah native, has been in the majors for 13 seasons. He has played for the Oakland A's, Washington Nationals, Milwaukee Brewers and Chicago White Sox. Gonzalez has a 131-101 record, 3.70 earned run average and 1,860 strikeouts during his career.
