The Atlanta Braves slipped by the Miami Marlins 8-7 in 10 innings at Truist Park on Sunday. It was the 12th walk-off victory for the Braves over Miami(35-47) in their franchise history.
Max Fried was called upon to be a pinch-hitter with the bases loaded in the 10th inning. He lined a base hit to center field and Dansby Swanson scored the winning run. It was the first time since 1994 that an Atlanta(41-42) pitcher pinched-hit and got a walk-off hit.
