The National Hockey League expansion draft for the Seattle Kraken franchise was held on Wednesday. One player from the unprotected list supplied by the Florida Panthers had to be picked.
The Seattle Kraken ended up selecting goalie Chris Driedger from the Panthers. Driedger spent the past two seasons with Florida. He had a 21-8 record, .931 save percentage, 2.07 goals against average and four shutouts in 35 games while with the Panthers.
Hate to see him go but he wasn't coming back either way so happy it wasn't someone else.
