Former Florida Panthers left wing Nikita Gusev has left the National Hockey League and joined the KHL. He has signed a deal with SKA St. Petersburg for the 2021-22 season. Gusev did sign a professional tryout contract with the Toronto Maple Leafs back on September 18.
Gusev played for two seasons with the New Jersey Devils. He joined the Florida Panthers as a free agent on April 11 and compiled two goals and three assists in 11 games.
