The National Hockey League announced that their players will not participate in the upcoming 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China. It is due to the increasing amount of COVID cases. Panthers players, such as Aleksander Barkov and Jonathan Huberdeau, will not play in the Olympics.
The NHL will use the scheduled olympic break between February 6 to February 22 to play postponed games and future postponed games. The Panthers recently had three games postponed and they will be made up during that time span.
