Former Florida Panthers defenseman Keith Yandle tied the National Hockey League record playing in his 964th consecutive regular season game on Monday night for the Philadelphia Flyers against the Dallas Stars. He now shares the record with Doug Jarvis. Yandle is expected to break the record on Tuesday night at the New York Islanders.
Yandle played five seasons with the Panthers. He helped the club reached the Stanley Cup Playoffs in 2020 and 2021. Yandle did miss a couple of postseason games last season in a first-round series versus the Tampa Bay Lightning, however that did not count toward the consecutive games streak.
