Mike Berardino In South Bend

     Former local sportswriter Mike Berardino is currently the University of Notre Dame beat writer for the South Bend Tribune. Prior to that, he joined the Pioneer Press as the Minnesota Twins beat reporter in February 2013. 

     Berardino entered the South Florida market with the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel in 1998. The newspaper later rebranded itself as the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. Berardino held several posts there which included baseball columnist, Miami Dolphins beat writer and sports columnist until November 2012. He was a Saturday afternoon show co-host on 640 WMEN-AM from December 2012 to February 2013.
