The Miami Marlins have their 30th home opener in franchise history against the Philadelphia Phillies at loanDepot Park on Thursday night. The team changed their name from the Florida Marlins to the Miami Marlins when they moved into the new facility in 2012.
The club also marked the 10th anniversary of the new Miami stadium this month. It was known as Marlins Park from 2012 to 2020 and changed to loanDepot park prior to the 2021 season.
