Former Miami Marlins catcher Sandy Leon was traded by the Cincinnati Reds to the Cleveland Guardians. He signed with Cleveland last year on November 23 and was released by them several months ago on March 31. He was signed by the Reda on April 16, did not play in the majors this year and spent time with their Triple-A affiliate in Louisville.
Leon was with the Miami Marlins during the 2021 season. He compiled four home runs, 14 runs batted in and a .183 batting average in 83 contests. Leon did win a World Series with the Boston Red Sox in 2018.
