American Heritage Downs Boynton Beach

     The American Heritage Patriots eliminated the Boynton Beach Tigers 49-0 at Heritage Field in Plantation on Saturday in a FHSAA Class 2M regional semifinal contest. The Patriots will have a rematch and challenge their district foes the Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs in the next round. 

     American Heritage(11-1) scored on their first two possessions of the game to led 14-0 after one quarter. Boynton Beach(9-3), who had their most successful season in school history, surrendered two more touchdowns during the second quarter and trailed 28-0 at halftime. Patriots running back Mark Fletcher had touchdown runs of 55 yards and 17 yards in the first half.
