The Cardinal Gibbons Chiefs stomped the Pine Crest Panthers 45-0 in a FHSAA Class 2M regional quarterfinal game at Dr. Bud Tight Field in Fort Lauderdale on Friday night. Both high schools are just five miles away from each other. The Chiefs will be at home next week against the Calvary Chrisian Academy Eagles or the St. Andrew's Scots.
Cardinal Gibbons(10-1) piled on the points during the first quarter and second quarter to lead 24-0 at halftime. Pine Crest(8-3), who lost their last two games of the 2022 campaign, could not gain any traction in the contest and were down 38-0 after three quarters.
