FHSAA Football Finals In Fort Lauderdale

     The FHSAA football state championship games will be played over the next three days at DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale. It is the second straight year that five contests will be held at that venue. 

     The St. Thomas Aquinas Raiders will challenge the Homestead Broncos on Thursday night for the Class 3M crown. Lake Wales Highlanders and the Mainland Buccaneers go for the Class 3S title on Friday afternoon while the Miami Central Rockets face the American Heritage Patriots for the Class 2M state championship on Friday night. The Venice Indians take on the Lakeland Dreadnaughts for the Class 4S title on Saturday afternoon. It will be concluded on Saturday night as the Columbus Explorers clash with the Apopka Blue Darters for the Class 4M state championship.
