Braves Pick Up Magneuris Sierra

     Former Miami Marlins outfielder Magneuris Sierra has signed a minor league deal with the Atlanta Braves. He will be invited to Braves spring training camp to make their opening day roster. Sierra was with the Los Angeles Angels last season. 

     He came to the Marlins from the St. Louis Cardinals in a trade for Marcell Ozuna. Sierra was with the Marlins from 2018 until 2021 and contributed to the club making the postseason in 2020. He played in 211 games with the Fish and had no home runs, 20 runs batted in and a .230 batting average.
