Several former South Florida high school football players captured the CFP National Championship on Monday night. The University of Georgia Bulldogs pounded the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs 65-7 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. Georgia became the first team to win consecutive championships since the University of Alabama in 2011 and 2012.
The Bulldogs had three players on their roster from the South Florida area. Running back Kenny McIntosh from University School and wide receiver Marcus Rosemy-Jacksaint from St. Thomas Aquinas won their second CFP National Championship. Former American Heritage linebacker Marvin Jones Jr. captured his first title with the University of Georgia.
