Miami Makes Final Four, Tops Texas

     The #5 University of Miami Hurricanes reached the Final Four for the first time in school history as they got a 88-81 victory over the #2 University of Texas Longhorns in the Midwest Region final on Sunday night in Kansas City. The Canes will challenge Connecticut in a national semifinal game on Saturday. 

     Miami scored seven unanswered points and had a 9-2 start to begin the first half. Texas responded with nine straight points and eventually led by halftime 45-37. The Longhorns increased it to a double-digit lead early in the second half. The Hurricanes mounted a comeback and made it 85-79 with 23 seconds remaining.
