Former Miami Marlins starting pitcher Jose Urena has signed a contract with the Texas Rangers. It is a minor league deal and he will be invited to spring training camp. He split his time between the Colorado Rockies and the Chicago White Sox last year.
Urena was with the Marlins from 2015 until 2020. He helped the Fish reach the postseason for the first time in 17 years back in 2020. Urena had a 32-46 record and a 4.60 earned run average during his six seasons in Miami.
