The Florida Panthers clinched the Atlantic Division on Tuesday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs at Amerant Bank Arena. It was just the second time that the Panthers won a division title on their home ice. They won it one other time on April 7, 2012 when they defeated the Carolina Hurricanes and captured the Southeast Division.
Two visiting teams have wrapped up a division title in South Florida. The Montreal Canadiens accomplished in on April 3, 2017. The Carolina Hurricanes did it last season in Sunrise on April 13, 2013.
