Inter Miami CF Wins MLS Cup

     Inter Miami CF defeated the Vancouver Whitecaps FC 3-1 in the 2025 MLS Cup Final at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale on Saturday. The Herons captured their first Major League Soccer title in their six-year franchise history. 
     The Herons took a 1-0 lead in the eighth minute. Tadeo Allende made a pass from the right side and Edier Ocampo deflected it into the Whitecaps cage for an own goal.
     In the second half, Vancouver tied it up 1-1 during the 60th minute. Ali Ahmed received a square pass and blasted a 16-yard shot with his right foot.
     Inter Miami CF reclaimed the lead 2-1 in the 71st minute. The Whitecaps turned ball over near midfield. Lionel Messi sent a lead pass ahead and Rodrigo De Paul scored with a right-footed shot from nine yards away.
     It became 3-1 for Inter Miami CF in stoppage time. Messi make a chest trap and volleyed the ball ahead. Allende went into the penalty area and softly scored from 15 yards out with his right foot.
