Former Miami Marlins outfielder Austin Slater has left the New York Mets and became a free agent. He was involved in nine games with the Mets this year and compiled a .250 batting average with one run batted in.
Slater began the 2026 campaign with the Marlins organization. He had one run batted in along with a .174 batting average in 12 contests.
