Mets Drop Marlins

     The Nee York Mets disposed of the Miami Marlins 6-1 on Saturday at Citi Bank. It was the middle contest of a three-game series between both teams.
     New York(25-33) broke out to a 3-0 advantage in the bottom of the fourth. Mark Vientos drove in Juan Soto and Jared Young with a double to off the left-field fence. Two batters later, Marcus Semien picked up a base hit into center field which scored Vientos. 
     Miami(26-33) cut it to 3-1 in the top of the fifth. Liam Hicks singled through the right side and Christopher Morel scored. 
      The Mets increased their lead to 4-1 in the sixth inning. Young cracked a solo home run to right field in a 2-0 count for his first homer of the year.
      It became 6-1 for New York in the bottom of the seventh as they added two more runs. Hayden Senger got his first homer in the majors with a home run to left field on a 1-2 pitch. Three batters later, Soto knocked in Carson Benge on a base hit into center field.
