The Miami Marlins broke by the Washington Nationals 7-3 at Nationals Park on Monday night. The Marlins, who snapped a five-game losing streak, continued their nine-game road trip.

Washington(31-30) jumped to the lead 2-1 during the bottom of the second. Jacob Young homered to left field on a 2-2 pitch with C.J. Abrams on base. It was Young's eighth home run of the campaign.
The Nats increased it to 3-1 in the bottom of the third. Curtis Mead singled into left field for James Wood to score.
The Marlins moved ahead with three runs in the top of the sixth for a 4-3 lead. Heriberto Hernandez powered a two-run homer to left field on a 3-1 count with Leo Jimenez aboard. Three batters later, Connor Norby knocked in Jakob Marsee with a double down the right-field line.

Two batters later, Kyle Stowers socked a two-run homer to right field on a 1-2 count with Otto Lopez aboard. It ended up being the fourth home run for Stowers this year.
