The New York Rangers have named Derick Brassard as a player development assistant. It means that he has retired again from professional hockey after playing last season with Geneve-Servette in Switzerland. He announced his first player retirement back in June 2024.
Brassard had a short stint as a center with the Florida Panthers during the 2018-19 campaign. He finished with one goal and three assists for four points in 10 contests with the Cats.
