Jorge Sedano Joins WQAM

    Jorge Sedano has been named the new program director and afternoon host on Sports Radio 560 WQAM-AM. He will begin both positions on September 4. Sedano exited the morning show on 790 The Ticket WAXY-AM in early April. He joined that station in August 2007 as a midday host and would later replace Sid Rosenberg as the morning host at the station in May 2009.
    Sedano left 610 WIOD-AM in early August 2007 where he was the morning sports anchor and studio host for Miami Heat broadcasts. He also was the overnight host at Fox Sports Radio where he broadcast his show from the Miramar studios of Clear Channel. In the final months there he shifted to a Sunday evening show. Prior to that, he was a sports host at Fox Sports Radio 940 at WRFX-AM. Sedano began his career with 1700 The Fan WAFN-AM from September 1999 to December 2000 first as a sports anchor then as a sports host.
    Dan Sileo, who joined WQAM in April as the afternoon host, will replace Curtis Stevenson on the midday shift. Stevenson has been the midday host at the station since they released Michael Irvin in late July. Former interim program director Andy King will move back to the assistant program director position.
