Marlins Get By Rockies

    There were four lead changes in the game as the Miami Marlins squeezed by the Colorado Rockies 6-5 at Coors Field on Friday night. Marlins starting pitcher Wade LeBlanc went five innings and allowed five runs on nine hits. Steve Cishek nailed down his eighth save.
    In the first inning, Gorkys Hernandez singled to right-center field against Jeff Francis. Two batters later, Carlos Lee drove him in on a double to left field for a 1-0 lead. Marlins starting pitcher Wade LeBlanc improved to 2-2 as he went five innings and allowed five runs on nine hits.
    The Rockies got their first lead in the fourth inning. Josh Rutledge singled to center and Dexter Fowler beat out an infield single with his speed. Both advanced one base when Carlos Gonzalez hit a sacrifice fly into center field. Wilin Rosario blooped a single to shallow left and Rutledge scored. Jordan Pacheco knocked in Fowler with a single to right-center field.
    Miami retook the lead with three runs in the fifth inning. John Buck lead-off with a single and went to second on a sacrifice by LeBlanc. After Hernandez walked, Reyes blasted a three-run shot to left field for his ninth home runs of the season.
    Colorado responded in the bottom of the frame with a three-spot. Jonathan Herrera walked and Eric Young singled. Herrara crossed the plate on an infield single by Rutledge. Two batters later, Young scored on a ground out by Gonzalez. Rosario then singled to bring Rutledge in.
    Giancarlo Stanton cracked a solo home run off Josh Roenicke to began the sixth inning to tie the game 5-5. It was his second consecutive game with a homer and his 23rd this year. Donovan Solano followed with a triple into deep center field then scored the winning run on a double to right-center by Buck.
