Former Miami Dolphins running back Troy Stradford has been elevated from part-time host to full-time host at 940 WINZ-AM The Sports Animal. He will be a permanent co-host of the Amigo and Dizz Show from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. as of January 7. Stradford has been associated with that program since November 12 when he worked just Mondays and Thursdays. He has been a panelist and afternoon co-host on the Finsiders Show for the last
two years.
Stradford was a late morning sports host
on 640 Sports WMEN-AM from 2009 until October 2012. He joined that station back
in 2008 when it flipped to a sports talk format. Stradford also did an NFL
Sunday midday show for two seasons with Orlando Alzugaray.
He was let go on October 13 when he complained over-the-air that the Sid Rosenberg Show had infringed
into his two-hour time slot. This situation had been going on for two months
when Rosenberg began his first show on August 13. Stradford, a Boston College grad, is a high school football game analyst
for Comcast Xfinity. Keith Sims replaced Stradford at 640 Sports as the late
morning host on October 16.
