Former local sports host Dino Costa makes his return to the Florida airwaves on November 3 as he will co-host a mid-afternoon show with Pat Paolini on WAOC-AM in St. Augustine. He had a previous run as the afternoon host at WNNR-AM in Jacksonville from June 2003 until February 2004.
Costa had a brief stint as the afternoon host on 1400 The Fan WFLL-AM in Fort Lauderdale when the station launched into a sports format in April 2004. The position lasted just three months. Costa was let go when he would not accept Bruce Warner as a new co-host on his show.
He recently had a reign at Mad Dog Radio on Sirius XM Radio as an evening sports host until early September 2013. Costa was shifted to the Sports Nation channel as the morning host where he stayed for only one month before he was ousted. He joined the satellite radio company in January 2010.
