Ethan J. Skolnick has returned to the Miami Herald to begin a second stint with the newspaper. He will become the Miami Heat beat reporter and write about the NBA. Manny Navarro will also handle the same role in the organization.
It has been a busy transition for Skolnick in the past month. He recently joined 79O The Ticket WAXY-AM on September l6 to co-host an afternoon show with former Miami Herald Heat beat writer Israel Gutierrez. Skolnick had left his position at Bleacher Report as an NBA writer that week along with being a contributor on NBA TV and Turner Sports.
Skolnick first started in South Florida as a sports reporter for the Palm Beach Post during the l99O's. He left for the Miami Herald to work in the same role. Skolnick moved over to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel and became a sports columnist. He began a second stint with the Palm Beach Post as the Miami Heat beat reporter in 2OlO.
Navarro has been with Miami Herald since l995. He has been their beat writer for University of Miami athletics and reported on South Florida high school sporting events as one of their main writers alongside Andre Fernandez.
