Fox Sports Florida and the Miami Marlins have let go television game analyst Tommy Hutton after a reign of 19 seasons. Hutton joined the Florida Marlins television broadcasts in 1997 on SportsChannel Florida and WBFS-TV as he replaced Gary Carter, who worked the first four seasons of the franchise and landed the Montreal Expos television game analyst position.
The Marlins would go on and win their first World Series championship during Hutton's first season in his new post. He would be part of the television crew when the Marlins won another world championship six years later in 2003.
Hutton has worked with several television play-by-play announcers in the broadcast booth during his long tenure here which included Joe Angel, Dave O'Brien, Len Kasper and Rich Waltz. He previously did television analyst work with the Montreal Expos, New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays before arriving in South Florida.
