Boca Raton based sportscaster Dick Stockton will move into a new venture when he hosts a podcast on CRN International this summer. He has worked as an NFL play-by-play announcer at Fox Sports since 1994.
Stockton first got noticed nationally when he called the Carlton Fisk Game 6 extra-inning home run in the 1975 World Series on NBC. He would join NBC Sports as an NFL announcer for two seasons. He moved to CBS Sports in 1978 and had a 16-year tenure there as an NFL and NBA play-by-play announcer. Stockton became their primary voice of the NBA from 1981 to 1990 and called 10 NBA Finals for them.
He has called NBA games on Turner Broadcasting for over 20 years. Stockton has been on the local airwaves and broadcast preseason football games of the Miami Dolphins on television since 2010 with the exception of one season in 2013 when Jesse Agler announced games.
