The Miami Heat finished their short two-game road trip as they fell to the San Antonio Spurs 112-88 at AT&T Center on Wednesday night. The Spurs, who led the game from wire-to-wire, extended their home winning streak to 45 games and are 36-0 this season at home.
Miami now have a 3-25 all-time regular season record in San Antonio. They also snapped an 11-game streak of scoring at least 100 points in a contest. It was their longest run of hitting the century mark since 1994.
The Heat started out slow as they were down 12-4 early in the contest. San Antonio(60-11) was up 26-21 after one quarter and 56-47 at halftime. Kawhi Leonard had 24 points and seven rebounds by the end of the first half for the Spurs.
Miami(41-30) dropped further behind by 20 points at 75-55 just seven minutes into the second half. San Antonio stayed ahead 88-63 after three quarters.
Dwyane Wade led the Heat with 16 points and five rebounds in 25 minutes of play. Hassan Whiteside completed a double-double with 12 points along with 14 rebounds. Leonard tied a career-high with 32 points and eight rebounds for the Spurs in 24 minutes.
