The Miami Heat shocked the defending NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers for the second time in three days with a 106-98 win at the Quicken Loans Arena on Monday night. It was the second game of a home-and-home sets between both clubs. This time LeBron James and Kyrie Irving were on the court for the Cavs.
Miami(30-34) moved out to a 29-22 lead after one quarter and extended it to 62-52 by halftime. Cleveland(42-20) were unable to gain ground and were down 89-71 after three quarters. The Cavs did outscore the Heat by 10 points in the fourth.
Dion Waiters led the Heat with 29 points and Goran Dragic added 21 points. James compiled a double-double for the Cavaliers with 30 points and 17 rebounds while Irving got a game-high 32 points.
