The Miami Marlins pulled off another comeback victory over the New York Mets 5-4 on Saturday night at Marlins Park. The Fish are now 3-2 on their opening home stand.
New York(7-5) jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Neil Walker doubled into left field to bring in Asdrubal Cabrera.
Miami(6-5) put together two solo homers during the bottom of the second to take the lead 2-1. Justin Bour smashed a home run on a full count to right field then Marcell Ozuna hit one to left on a 1-1 count.
The Mets bounced back in the seventh. Curtis Granderson tripled to center which drove in Walker. Granderson would eventually score on a sacrifice fly to center by Michael Conforto. Cabrera added a solo homer to right on a 2-2 pitch in the eighth inning to give New York a 4-2 margin.
In the bottom of the eighth inning, the Marlins rallied with three runs on back-to-back homers to move ahead. Christian Yelich ripped a two-run homer to right on a 3-1 pitch that brought in Miguel Rojas. Giancarlo Stanton followed with a home run to center field on a 3-2 count to make it 5-4.
