The Miami Marlins snapped their five-game losing streak with a 3-1 victory over the Atlanta Braves at Marlins Park on Sunday. It was their first win in a nine-game home stand. The Marlins have won two of their last nine games.
Atlanta(13-21) scored first for the third consecutive contest between both clubs during the top of the fifth inning. Nick Markakis drove in Ender Inciarte with a single into left-center field for the Braves.
Miami(14-22) had to wait until the seventh inning to take the lead. Tyler Moore came up to pinch-hit against R.A. Dickey and lifted a three-run homer into center field to put the Fish up 3-1.
