The American Heritage Stallions blanked the Piper Bengals 19-0 in a two-quarter kickoff classic held at Scott Maurer Memorial Field in Delray Beach on Friday night. It was the second contest played by the Stallions following a victory earlier over Palm Beach Gardens.
Neither squad put up any points during the first quarter. It changed as American Heritage compiled 19 points in the second.
Stallions wide receiver Jamal Lassiter caught a 28-yard touchdown pass on a slant pattern from backup quarterback John Dunmore less than one minute into the second quarter.
Dunmore found wide receiver Connor Heisley on the right side of the zone for a one-yard strike at the 5:20 mark. Piper surrendered another touchdown on a 33-yard pass down the middle of the field by Dunmore to wide receiver Luke Sharkey with under three minutes left to make it 19-0.
