The Miami Dolphins struggled and lost to the New York Jets 20-6 at MetLife Stadium on Sunday. The Fins played their second of three consecutive games away from Miami.
Chandler Catanzaro gave the Jets a 3-0 lead on a 40-yard field goal at 7:21 of the second quarter. New York(2-1) made it 10-0 as quarterback Josh McCown threw a 69-yard touchdown pass up the middle of the field to wide receiver Robby Anderson with 1:51 left in the first half.
The Jets continued to roll in the third quarter when running back Bilal Powell scored from one yard out at the 9:52 mark for a 17-point margin. Catanzaro added another field goal, this time from 22 yards away, with 1:38 to go in the third.
Miami(1-1) finally got on the scoreboard with six seconds remaining in the game. Quarterback Jay Cutller connected a three-yard pass to wide receiver DeVante Parker.
