The Miami Dolphins finally played a home game in South Florida as they knocked off the Tennessee Titans 16-10 at Hard Rock Stadium. The Dolphins were to play their home opener against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on September 10, however it was rescheduled due to Hurricane Irma.
Miami(2-2) moved up to a 10-0 lead in the first quarter. Cody Parkey kicked a 41-yard field goal with 57 seconds to go. The Fins then recovered a fumble and Reshad Jones returned it 38 yards for a score with 12 seconds left in the first.
Tennessee(2-3) closed the gap at the 9:42 mark of the second quarter as Ryan Succop nailed a 45-yard field goal. They tied the contest at 7:31 of the third quarter when Matt Cassel connected an 11-yard touchdown pass to tight end Phillip Supernaw.
The Dolphins regained the lead with 10:38 left in the fourth quarter. Quarterback Jay Cutler found wide receiver Jarvis Landry for a six-yard touchdown.
