Former Florida Panthers defenseman Ed Jovanovski worked as a radio game analyst for the Vancouver Canucks on CISL-AM against the Panthers at BB&T Center in Sunrise on Tuesday night. It is believed to be the first time that he had worked on a hockey game broadcast.
Jovanovski had two stints with the Florida Panthers. He helped the Panthers win the Eastern Conference title during his rookie year in 1995-96. He was traded by Florida to the Vancouver Canucks in January 1999 in a multi-player deal that included Pavel Bure. Jovanovski returned to the Panthers as a free agent in July 2011 and played his final three NHL seasons with the club.
