Miami Dolphins kicker Cody Parkey will be signing as a free agent with the Chicago Bears later this week. Parkey played one season with the Dolphins in 2017 and made 21 of 23 field goals in 16 games. He previously was with Philadelphia Eagles and Cleveland Browns during his five-year NFL career.
Parkey was a local high school standout as he played with the Jupiter Warriors as a kicker and punter. He attended Auburn University and won a national championship in 2010 over Oregon as a backup kicker. He helped the Tigers make the 2013 BCS National Championship Game in the Rose Bowl as a starting kicker where they lost to Florida State.
