The Miami Marlins pulled off a 5-2 comeback victory over the New York Mets on Saturday at Marlins Park. The Fish surpassed the Mets into fourth place in the National League East division.
New York(32-48) busted out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning. Jose Bautista blasted a solo home run to left field on the first pitch. The Mets made it a two-run margin in the top of the sixth when Todd Frazier homered to left-center field on a 0-2 count.
Miami(34-50) bounced back with three runs in the bottom of the frame to take the lead. After Derek Dietrich singled to shallow center with one out, Brian Anderson slammed a two-run homer to left field on a 2-2 pitch.
The Marlins extended the gap during the seventh. J.T. Realmuto got a two-run double to deep left field which scored Dietrich and Anderson.
