The Miami Marlins needed 11 innings to defeat the New York Mets 4-3 on Saturday night at Marlins Park. The Fish have won two of their last 11 games.
New York(48-66) got all their three runs on just one play during the top of the fourth. Todd Frazier doubled to left field and brought in Wilmer Flores. Michael Conforto and Brandon Nimmo.
The Marlins began to chip at the lead in the bottom of the frame. Martin Prado drove in Brian Anderson and Derek Dietrich with a base hit into right field.
Miami(48-70) tied it up 3-3 in the fifth inning. J.T. Realmuto singled to center which scored Magneuris Sierra.
The Fish broke the tie in the 11th. Bryan Holaday knocked in Miguel Rojas on a double into left field.
