The Miami Heat have named Ruth Riley Hunter as their new radio game analyst. She will work this season alongside longtime radio voice Mike Inglis. She will also contribute as a television studio analyst on Sun Sports for all Miami Heat radio games.
Hunter replaces John Crotty, who took over the television game analyst role from Tony Fiorentino. She once played for the Miami Sol of the WNBA from 2001 to 2002. Hunter, a Notre Dame grad, also was with the Detroit Shock, San Antonio Silver Stars, Chicago Sky and Atlanta Dream.
