The Pahokee Blue Devils host the Glades Central for the annual Muck Bowl at Anquan Boldin Stadium on Saturday night. Both schools are expected to participate in the FHSAA playoffs.
The Blue Devils have won the past two games against the rival Raiders. It included the first overtime victory in Muck Bowl history last year. The Raiders had won the contest eight consecutive times from 2008 to 2015.
Glades Central(6-3) enters this game on a four-game winning streak after victories over Lake Worth, Boynton Beach, American Heritage and Cardinal Newman. They have outscored the last four opponents 147-35.
The Raiders will rely on their passing attack. Their wide receiver core of Jymetre Hester, Ja'Vontae Williams, Densa Washington and Odieu Hilaire can get open for pass receptions from quarterback Davius Richard. Running Jaheim Humphries looks to get the bulk of the carries from the backfield for Glades Central.
Pahokee(5-4) comes into this matchup with no momentum as they lost to Seminole Ridge and Cocoa in the last two weeks. The Blue Devils have a 2-3 record at home this season.
Quarterback Jaeze Tracey formerly played with Glades Central and transferred to Pahokee during the summer. The Blue Devils have options on the ground with running backs Jaterie Washington and Levonski Williams rushing the ball. Wide receivers Kajavian Boldin and Lamonte Graham are expected to get passes from Tracey.
